Sheila David

From the small town of Toledo, Washington, Sheila brings a 14-year background in case resource management, investigation, quality assurance and improvements for at-risk community members to HBJJ as a co-owner and instructor. 

As a blue belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu she trains and coaches alongside her husband and the academy's head instructor Prof. Ehren David in HBJJ's Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Anti-Bullying and Self-Defense programs. A primary focus for Sheila has been developing the inclusive environment HBJJ is known for, reflected in the number of families and women training at the academy.

As the head of HBJJ's Women's Group, she ensures that program's priorities and services are determined by the group's stakeholders. The group meets weekly for off- and on-the-mat activities, focusing on creating strong social bonds and best practices amongst it's members.
