Prof. David has lived everywhere from Everett, Washington to Tokyo, Japan, and is the head instructor of HBJJ managing the school's day-to-day operations. He holds a Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu from Prof. James "300" Foster (Foster BJJ in Kent, WA), who also gave him the nickname "Seminar Stalker".

Prof. David has been training since 2010, teaching since 2012, and refereeing since 2015. A We Defy Foundation™ supporter from the beginning, he currently serves as the foundation's  National Logistics Coordinator. Concurrently to Jiu-Jitsu he developed skill-sets in law enforcement, military, and women's self-defense curriculums. As the head instructor Prof. David provides instruction in all three skill sets at HBJJ as well as through workshops, seminars, and private instruction.

Known for the notebook he carries and his "Stalker" entanglement system developed with contributions from many of his friends in the grappling community as well as notable contributions from Prof. Cindy Hales, Prof. Orlando Sanchez, Prof. Bernardo Faria, Prof. Bryant Pangelinan, and his instructor Prof. James Foster.
